From her first appearances as a pre-teen in amateur contests around Topeka, Kansas, Ms. Maye has won endless kudos around the world. "Super Singer," late-night host Johnny Carson dubbed her. And the Smithsonian Institution enshrined her recording of "Too Late Now" in its permanent collection of "Best Performers of the Best Compositions of the 20th Century."

Join us to celebrate an artist with more gusto than others half her age whom no less an expert than Ella Fitzgerald called "The greatest white female singer in the world."
