Speaker: Writer MARK COHEN discusses his acclaimed biography Not Bad for Delancey Street: The Rise of Billy Rose. Rose was a wunderkind at taking shorthand, and didn’t stop there. He became New York’s only songwriter/theatre producer/World’s Fair impresario/nightclub and theater owner/syndicated columnist/art collector/tough guy and Jewish activist and philanthropist.
Mark Cohen will tell us about a New York and American original from the Lower East Side, and was he the model for Rick in Casablanca?
